    Schoenau-Hoffmeister mold 1909...she is a fantasic doll in really good shape..got her at a garage sale for $20..and she has been a great addition to the collectionhas a look all of her own...
    tku so much mani.. for your help in finding out what all the markings on my dolls mean ..you are such a gem...hopefully somewhere down the line I can help you! lol xoxox

      he Schoenau & Hoffmeister porcelain factory, also known as Porzellanfabrik Burggrub, was located in Burggrub, Germany near Kronach, Bavaria was founded by Arthur Schoenau and Carl Hoffmeister in 1901. By 1907 the two partners were in disagreement of the type of porcelain heads for their dolls. Hoffmeister insisted on producing shoulder head dolls, while Schoenau wanted to produce socket head dolls. Unable to resolve there differences Carl Hoffmeister left and Arthur Schoenau became the sole owner.

      I Came back to try and catch a few more for you . The S and H on this doll has often confused people thing it stood for Simon Halbig :-) Wonderful doll .
