This lamp was electric and had two globes, a top and a bottom. I believe it was in my mother's room as a baby or very small child. She just passed away at the age of 90. This lamp was stored in a cupboard in the basement of my mother's home and unfortunately a relative broke the top half. I know it is now worthless but I display the bottom half because I think it's beautiful and it reminds me of my grandparents. I have been searching for years to find out something about this lamp, the time period during which it was manufactured and where and by whom. I cannot find a lamp that looks even remotely like this lamp. Has anyone seen anything like it?

hard to tell size from photos; it this a smaller vanity lamp? It is very much like the Consolidated Glass Cherub lamps. Just haven't located a one exactly like thus one.

This base is appx. 8" high, 7" in diameter and 22" in circumference at the top. If it had not been broken and the lamp was intact, would it be valuable? I've never seen one like it. Thanks for your help.

It is a glass cherub lamp. I found a website and the design is the same, only the glass is different. I think it is quite rare and it makes me sick that it was broken by someone in the family but I doubt that I could find a top "globe" to match. So now it is just a display piece to enjoy the beauty of what is left of it. Thanks, TallCakes for giving me the clue that led me to the answer.

was the cherub design also on the now broken top globe and was the globe spherical? Is this satin/frosted glass and is there any color; the photo looks to have a pink cast. There are sometimes replacement globes available. Is there any additional hardware now shown in the photo?

The glass is like a frosted pink but not dull like most frosted glass. The top globe had the same design as the bottom and was spherical. After I discovered the top globe had been broken, I believe I threw out everything but the bottom portion because I did not think it could ever be replaced. I kept the bottom because the lamp belonged to my grandparents and was probably in my mother's room as a baby/small child. My mother passed away last Nov. so you can imagine how old the lamp was.

There is a base just like yours currently on eBay with item # 251033166744 that may have some additional useful search info. Keep looking and you may find replacement parts; tho' it may take a while.

Cattrax, I am also looking for the same globe. This is the first lamp I have found like my mothers. She also has the top globe missing or broke and is looking for a replacement globe. If anone can solve this mystery twice how great that would be. She will be 75 this Nov and she recieved it as a gift in October of 1958. Thanks for any help and best of luck,
