I bought this at a garage sale about 20 years ago. It can hold 7 mason jars and is made of metal. I don't know anything else about it except I've used it in my kitchen for years.

the holder was used for canning in conjunction with a big pot. The handles allow one to hold the jars while lowering them into the water and the 'dog-leg' bends at the midpoint down the handles allowed the jars to drain by opening to rest on the lip of the pot.

I love the way the jars look in the rack. I have two or three of them kicking around, maybe I can put them to use as a decorative piece!
