Posted here is a sample photo of my favorite old telephone company.
Associated Telephone Utilities controlled many telephone companies starting around 1920 and was also known as General Telephone Corporation between 1935 and 1952.
I have a whole set of these pins ranging from 1 star up to 4 stars. If there is a 5 star or higher, then I have never seen it and I have been collecting these for years.
Any of these pins are very difficult to find. Please let me know if you have any for sale as I am willing to pay top dollar!

earthandmagneto, I have a service pin like the Associated Telephone Company, but mine says Kentucky Telephone Corporation. The company was called Lexington Telephone Company until it was purchased by General Telephone System in the 1950's and was renamed Kentucky Telephone Corporation. The name was changed in 1957 to General Telephone Co. of the Southeast.

I would love to see a photo of your pin. I have been looking for a Kentucky Telephone Corporation pin every since I learned about it around 5 years ago.
I have just recently learned of other pins from this company such as Iowa State Telephone Company among others. At one time, the search for these pins seemed endless...but is becoming more defined and finite now.

earthandmagneto, I was looking for that pin last night to post on show and tell. It had belonged to my late wife who had worked for General Telephone Company of Kentucky in the late 1950's. she transferred to the Lexington service office and was given the pin for five years of service. she later moved to California and worked for California Water & Telephone Co. which in turn became General Telephone Company of California.
I have two telephone directories from Kentucky that I will post.

No worries about posting the directories unless you just want to. I have the directories for Lexington Telephone, Ashland Home Telephone and Kentucky Telephone Corp. - it is just the pins I can't seem to find...

I also have very small set of California Water & Telephone Co. pins. Those are very hard to find too!
