Condition/Details: Bound in green cloth with bright gilt embossing, this antique volume is a scarce description of Native Americans' use of "charm stones, gorgets, tubes, bird stones and problematical forms," by Warren Moorehead, known in his time as the "Dean of American archaeology." This volume has many black and white photographs and plates, as well as a fold-out of three maps and a fold-out with illustrations of stones. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. The book measures approximately 7.5" x 10" and contains 448 pages.
