I have a few pieces of the Arzberg Chromatics range. But I was wondering if anyone has any information about the American Block Manufacturing Company. I've seen on the net that it was founded in 1963. I know that I see lots of Chromatics pieces on ebay marked Block rather than Arzberg. Here in Australia we see Arzberg and not Block versions of this design by Gerald Gulotta & Jack Prince that I think goes back to 1973.
I'll be putting on some other Chromatics pieces later.
I love the handle on this cruet/serving bowl/jam pot. It appears on the cups as well! And I have a preference for the Lavendelrot.

There is one of these at the Brooklyn Museum:

    Many thanks Sean!
This is about another company however: the Block Manufacturing Company.
The American Manufacturing Company is a much earlier beast!
I'm taking a copy of this material however because all of this info is important. I just keep learning.

But this Block company was begun in 1963.
