When I found this in my sister's jewelry box, I had to steal it from her. I fell in love with this necklace right away and wanted to wear it with every outfit. Made of rhinestones and another jewel (I don't really know the type), this necklace shines and matches most of my outfits.

My sister got this necklace from my mom when my Great Grandma died. My mom says that my Great Grandma probably got this necklace in the 1950s but it is only a guess. The clasp says that the jewelry is made by Lisner, a brand I have never heard of.

Such a pretty piece. I've always loved Lisner, and have many pieces that I treasure.

You can always watch the Costume Jewelry Necklaces page here on CW -- http://www.collectorsweekly.com/costume-jewelry/necklaces

There's tons of info online about Lisner costume jewelry. Just google it. Here's a good article to start with -- http://www.illusionjewels.com/Lisner_jewelry.html

A quick look at ebay found many similar necklaces -- you can get an idea of value there, although you can't put a price on sentimental value! I'll bet you get tons of compliments when you wear it!

Thanks, I do get a good amount of compliments when I wear it so I probably wouldn't ever sell it.

I went to the illusionjewels website and found some other pieces and I think I am pretty fond of Lisner jewelry now too. It is so amazing how you can learn so much so fast now with the internet. I cannot wait to investigate more and maybe buy more of this kind of jewelry!

Just beautiful!!! Love the colors and of course it’s very well made. Your comment about possibly finding more Lisner will kick off the start of a collection and your GGma is honored that you love it so much.
