I bought this at a estate sale. Could this be a real cast. It is old and
has a felt base. I do not think it is bronze but it is a heavy and is metal.
Could be brass over something. Could this be an original La Chaise cast.
It is marked La Chaise?
I think you have found a treasure. It looks like his work from other pics on the web.
I believe it's a replica, more than likely from the Alva museum. It should be marked as such, either as a label on the felt or somewhere on the base itself.
