Several weeks ago, I posted a pink rosaline vase (see photo 3) that I thought (and still do, mostly) must be Bohemian, for the style of the enameling (silhouettes) was popular around 1915 in Bohemia. Then, this week, two very cool things arrived - one, a covered rosaline dresser box in the same glass with the same silhouetted Greco-Roman theme, and the secord was a new book which came from France - the second Legras catalogue raissone book, which has all new photos, including the enameled dresser box in the last photo above. The similarity in shape (not only of the box, but the tall vase to known Legras examples) has me wondering whether it is a coincidence, or could these rosaline pieces (or the blanks, at least) be Legras? The book does list rosaline as one of the colors produced at Legras/St Denis, but I've never, ever seen this type of enameling attributed to Legras. Note also the large polished pontil in the second photo. The search continues, but now I have two pieces that are related and a new clue...

A new clue - one of my collector friends has a set of these pieces in blue opaline.... jars of various sizes, some with alabaster glass finials, and a candlestick. The answer is out there, I can just smell it. :)

Warren here is a piece of similarly decorated Kralik alabaster glass (believe your pieces are alabaster glass too). I just photographed it last week at the Kralik Museum in Lenora (Sklarské muzeum Lenora). I would guess it's an unfinished boudoir lamp. Here's a linky to the pic:

Thanks, Brian - Katie posted a photo of a group of pieces in blue alabaster glass on the Facebook Bohemian Glass group, including several various sized dresser boxes and a candlestick.
