I go to estate sales frequently, and this is a piece that if found at an estate sale earlier this year. The family was conducting the sale of their grandparents belongings themselves. I apparently showed up as they were trying to wrap things up. Everything in the house was already gone, and all that was left were items in the garage.

As I dug through the items that were piled in the garage I ran across this unusually shaped cast iron piece. It was pretty dirty and I couldn't tell much about it, but thought it was worth taking home, so I bought it.

I got it home and brushed off the dirt and grime to discover that it had images of what looked like an old southern belle and possibly a military officer (he appears to be wearing a uniform with possibly a sword at his side). At the bottom edge the words Bessemer, Ala are embossed. I turned the piece over to see if it had any sort of makers mark and imagine my surprise to see that on the reverse side the gentleman (if I can use that term) had his hand up the ladies skirt! No wonder she appears to be gasping with her hand over her mouth on the front side!

I have no idea what this piece is (some sort of risque souvenir?) or where it originated, or it's age. I would love to know more about it. Such a unique piece!

I have a bell with the number 18 on it. It was left to me the story behind it is it was found in holland during the war. How can I find out if it is true and how much is it worth?

Based on the back side, it would be safe to say that this guy is no gentleman.
