    This is sort of an addition to TGBWC's post. It's almost the same story. A building was demolished in downtown Hamilton, Ontario in 2006. As the building came down this sign was exposed. You can see the holes where the floor joists stuck in. The difference in this story is that a new building was put up right away covering the sign again.So the sign still exists,you just can't see it. Maybe the new building will be torn down in 100 years and the sign will be exposed again.

      That is amazing! Glad you got the pics, I love stories like that.

      There was a big write up in the newspaper and they claim that the building that covered it was built in 1911 so it was painted sometime between 1906 and 1911.
