I found this sign while remodeling the gas station this sign once desplayed for. It is 9 feet long and 5.5 feet tall and a box sign. I am looking for as much information on this sign as possible. it is a very neat sign and def intrigues me. If you know anything about these please email me at ryancerar@gmail.com
Look for a maker's stamp on the inside lip somewere. I love it. Very good pick!
I know where one is still on it's pole. Have always loved it. More weather beaten than yours. Any idea what I should offer for it? I know it has been there for 45 years.
I would be interested in purchasing this Pegasus from you. Location and price?
When I was a kid we lived 2 blocks from a Mobile gas station and one of these was up on a pole on the corner. We always new we were just about home when we saw the flying red horse. A great memory for me. Thanks

Years ago I saw a table top made from one of these Mobil signs, and thought it was very cool. I wanted one of these signs for a long time after that!
I have one of these signs myself. It is called a cookie cutter because of the side thickness and flat top. I have recently been following auctions where a pair of right and left horses sold yesterday for 5,975.00. I have owned mine for 33 years and bought it at an auction in Warsaw, NY. Outside of Buffalo. I have kept mine inside, but there is a nice picture of one for sale in the classified ads at OLDGAS.com that is mounted on an outside wall of someones home. I am not sure which is more rare, left or right facing. Mine faces left. I may put mine on the market. suz_moore@yahoo.com
this is the flying red horse of the Magnolia Oil Company. There has been one flying over the Dallas , Texas skyline for 60 plus years. The one over the magnolia bldg is neon lighted and a beautifull work of art. would be a great bone to get your hands on someday.
I have one just like this it was installed new right over my fathers garage and gas station in 1959. Any idea how much it would go for it only has three small chips in it and it was installed that way and i have kept it in my barn for over 30 years so its not weather beaten.
