The 1970's & 80's seemed to be sort of the hey day for whimsical radios of all descriptions. They were used for promotions, give-aways, and prizes by various vendors. Most of these were made in China or Hong Kong. Kids loved them, and today some folks like to collect them. I have only a few that I've picked up in local flea markets or garage sales just for conversation's sake, but I usually don't seek them out since they are not my main focus. Never-the-less, they've been a kick in the pants to have around. I gave a Dr. Pepper one to my brother-in-law because he drinks a LOT of it.

The little juke box radio is a SounDesign Model 3160J. It's a battery operated LED clock radio & alarm clock and you can program it to wake up to 6 different old rock & roll songs, including "Wake Up Little Susie" by the Everly Brothers. That cracks me up. All four of them work perfectly.

I'd like to know a bit more about the Pepsi radio. The year, AM/FM? It looks really neat!

To Atomicscout - The Pepsi vending machine radio was made in China in 1998 for Pepsi. It plays AM & FM, and takes 3 AA batteries. It works! Thanks for your interest.
