Got this large wall hanging at a thrift store, it weighs 8-12lbs, possibly an eastern religious theme on front. It's 25 in. in diameter, it looks to be copper/ mixed with some other kind of metal, no markings on the back as to its maker. Would love to hear back from anybody who has seen one of these before, is there a market for these type of items? Thanks!

This item is made in the City of Esfahan in Iran, it is made of copper. It is hand engraved, and used for ceremonial purposes as well as wall decorations. The age is approx. 30 years, the depiction is 2500 years old. These usually take 2-8 weeks to make.

I have two of these with different religious symbols. They were given to my by an Iranian student attending college in our town. I understand that they are silver over copper, however, the silver tends to corrode much like zinc. Hope this h elps
