Antique Mid 19th Century Partners Desk

I recently inherited a 19th century leather top Partners Desk from a family friend's recent estate sale in Newport Beach.

It measures approximately 51" x 43" x 27.5"

Can anyone tell me more about it? I want to keep it pass it on to my kids adding to the history!
