I have these metal pieces that I would love to know more about. They have been in the family for years.

The pieces I have are General (1), Infantry Sergeant (1), Infantry Colonel (1), Infantry Privates (7), US Calvary (11), Anti Aircraft Guns (2), Pilot (1),Air Force Mechanic (1), Kings Royal Rifle Corp (5),
Gordon Highlanders (4), Sikhs (6), Russian Infantry (8). They are all 3" to 4" tall and 1-1/2"-3" wide.

I'm thinking these are World War One soldiers from the dress, but I'm far from an expert. Any help from you would be so helpful! I would like to know what game they are from, and what era and an approximate value. Doubt if I will ever part with them but am curious to their worth.

    Many, many thanks!!

If you post what is on the bottom of the soldiers (third photo), I am sure that someone can ID these for you.

I would suspect that they were made after WW1 but prior to WW2-- about 1920- 1930s.

      Very nice little collection!

Made by Marx, even without seeing the bottom I can tell, the made very distinctive toys! These would have come with a little spring fired cannon that shot wooden bullets. You would start with a certain number of bullets, as you shot and the soldiers are knocked out, the points were added up from each hit and and that would be your score.

      ...

Looks like someone beat me to it in your other post, but you can still use the information for this post ;)

Thanks so much! I'm so happy to know about these little guys! I can imagine my father playing with these toys when he was a youngster! Thanks again for all the info!!!
