The only Motors I can think of is the "Motors" automotive repair manuals. By the looks of the fluorescent lights in the clock I would date it from the 1950's/60's.

the clock is 20 inch wide (front side) 5 inches deep, 22 inches wide (back side)

Dave, I am SO happy to see your clock. I have virtually the same clock except mine has the letters FNB on the center under the clock hands. I assume that was for first national bank. I just had to replace the motor in mine. It has been on the wall at my shop since 1973. The motor was dated 10-1959. I have been trying to figure out what the glass in the face looked like. I thought it would cover the lamp tube a bit since it is so bright. Is your glass flat or slightly curved out? Jim / acmservicewpbfl@aol.com

      Hello Jim,
My clock has the flat glass and yes it still runs. even the light still works. I have not really checked the date on the motor, but!! I do know this, that this clock is very heavy. Would like to see yours if available,
      Thanks

I also have one. My parents owned a store, so the top part advertises the name of the store, and the bottom says :BUY U.S. SAVINGS BONDS

These clocks were standard advertisng clocks that were customized to the customers specifications at the time of order. The outside perimeter would have the advertising script and be back painted black to cover the neon light. Yours probably had a local car dealers name on the top and read something like Smith's Motors. You could have a sign shop make new letters to apply to the inside of the glass, and make it say whatever you want.
