This is so Cool! I use it all the time. Copper pots with brass handles. Put water in bottom pot to fill line. Top pot has 3 fill lines for water The round circular metal tube has soft, medium and hard. Fill to desired cooking of eggs, I always hard boil. Put on medium fire and wait until CHICK sings and chirps, and he sings good. Center has some kind of whistle tube metal. Chick is bakelite. these were only made I believe 1932-1934. When CHICK sings egss are ready!!!

Hi, i have just the top section. Where do you put the eggs?
I assume you put them in the bottom.
    9. toracat toracat, 7 years ago

Hi I asked another question yesterday but it doesn't appear to have posted.
Are the eggs put in before or after cold water is poured up to the fill line on the bottom pot? What temp are they cooked at? Thanks

Hi! put eggs in 1st. add water to fill line, then a little higher than medium, until chick sings!!
