Does anyone out there know what this phone could be worth and any information about it? I've looked everywhere but can not find any information about it. It's been in my family for years but no one knows anything about it. Any help is appreciated!
    Thank you!

daiquirisd, Your pay-telephone toll box was patent by Howard Root of Brooklyn, NY on Nov. 4, 1890 patent numbers (440,118) (525,623) (536,100) (553,361) the patents run from 1890 to 1896 five total. For some reason the patents were not assigned to any manufacturing company. It looks like you have one of Roots toll box's mounted on a Western Electric two box wall telephone. value is depending on if the toll box has all it's original parts and is a working coin chute.
I can send you the patents if you email me direct at mox-nix@cablespeed.com

daiquirisd, I did a little checking around on the value of the Roots toll box, with are economic times I feel the value is around $1500.00. I hope this information has helped you.
