This mini grandfather clock has an old pocket watch in it .The penny is from 1942..Just thought it was worth putting on this site...Its 12 inches tall and the clock keeps good time ...

This is a great case. If you can take the back off the watch there will be a two or three number stamp on the movement back plate, that will date the watch for you.
      Such as 53 = 1953; 8 25 = Aug. 1925; 546 = May 1946.
Here is a link I posted that show different types of stampings Ingraham used to date their watches.

The dial is advertised as fancy silvered dial. It is metal as opposed to paper dials normally used.
      Thanks for showing this,
      Dave

Neat idea, a minature grandfather/grandmother/case/etc. clock for us that can't afford the big stuff. I like the idea & it looks good even if you can't put it your pocket assembled.
I like it enough that I may copy it. For royalties, hold you breath, count to 500 very slowly & my check will be there.
I'm not sure this site has adjusted to my humour yet, but it will have to!

      kaiserlives,
your welcome. Here is a link to my shelf clock (New Haven Dollar Watch). Not nearly ornate as yours.

Of course the pendulum only moves in the imagination?
