Looks like one of the marks for Heinrich Handwerck Doll hard for me to read on photo . If you take a pencil and run is lightly on name it will show better . You can wipe it of with water it won't hurt doll .

Thx so much. I am so happy to know her name. Do you know her approx. worth?
    8. Manikin Manikin, 12 years ago
You can mark this solved on both posts so it doesn't keep showing unsolved when we search for ones that need solving :-)
Her value fluctuates in today's market ,But she can have no cracks, chips ect to head including fine line cracks . She has a replaced wig that lowers her value and no original clothes or Appropriate antique dress. Those all decrease her value . How tall is she ?

She is 18". I could not find the edit button until I had already entered a second email, to show her face. I will mark them solved now. She is my only doll.

She has no damage or imperfections that I have found.

The top dollar I have seen with antique wig and clothes is 200 in that area a little below or above depending on a buyer . A few years ago before internet she would have sold sold for more . I recently sold my Floradora at my doll club all original factory clothes ,hair ,shoes she was never played with . She was 18 tall also . I sold her for 175.00 . That gives you a idea anyway . I would cherish her so many of these bisque dolls from end of 1800's into 1920's were broke so I see them all as treasures for us to care for :-)

Thanks so much. She is a real doll to me.

I am over 60 years old and lost all of my retirement $ and many of my treasures in the real estate debacle. Am still selling off things as I have to. Your advise has been great. I think Floradora will be my new confidente. Thanks again.

I understand so well breendy . I don't know how many that the crash of stock market years ago took away 401k's and of coarse our houses are now worth much less . I have many friends who lost their retirement money in the downfall of market , it is sad to enter into what should be a time to enjoy life not worry but many of us are in same boat and we need a oar to row it :-(
Hope you can keep her she has a long history and one wonders what was the little girl like that owned her ? Times were very tough back in the dolls day . Mostly farmers . Glad I could help you and Flo :-)

I am actually glad she isn't a really high dollar doll because I would have to sell her, but maybe I can keep her now thanks to you and your willingness to share your knowledge. She has probably seen a lot in spite of the fact that she looks great.
