Just Found this teacup in a box full of Items from my grandmother..

It seems to be pretty old and the markings on the bottom are unreadable..

on one side under the man it reads "BURNS"... Do you know what this is?

Mystery Solved

Robbie Burns the Scots poet 1759-1786: the Bard , Auld Lang Syne etc..
The portrait is the reverse of the best-known portrait of burns by Alexander Nasmyth in 1787.
Looks like a lustre tea cup. Is it Ridgway?
    You've got a Scots background!
