Well is it silver or not? Does it say STERLING anywhere? Is there a lion passant? Usually seeing numbers like that means silver-plate. If its not sterling, theres no real value. The market for silver-plate is DEAD unless its fabulous and rare. Being tarnished doesn't mean its solid sterling, remember, there IS a layer of sterling on silver plate, so naturally it would tarnish.

      Hello there,
Well better late than never. I have two trays like this and just found out they are made by Benedict & Proctor of Trenton, Ontario Canada. Mine have been determined to be Silver on Pewter. Are yours very easily bendable.
      Hope this helps. Regards, Kirk
