What can i say? a great design. What I don't like that much is the fact that it is signed... mine's not :( - LOL

So, one item to remove from your search list ;)

when I saw this on austrohungaro's posts a while back i immediately loved , love the shape and the ammazing color so when one came up i bought it ( actually 2 came up at the same time but the seler of the other one insisted at was by Nanny Still it seems there is a nanny still book in which it is depicted, so that there are that are signed aimo okkolin settles that dispute) .

I think the confussion comes from a picture appearing in one of Nanny Still books. There is this picture displaying a table laid out by Nanny and this Aimo Okkolin jug appears on it, thus, many people thinks it's a design by Nanny Still. I bought mine as such (but I knew it was Okkolin's design!). Also, there is a very simmilar design by Nanny Still (which, by the way, I've got: http://www.collectorsweekly.com/stories/39844-jug-nanny-still-riihimki-lasi-by-19?in=collection-119) and this leads to confussion.

And, by the way, the legend goes that Nanny Still and Aimo Okkolin were rivals at Riihimäki, so they say they were "copying each other" and "stealing designs from each other" all the time... I don't know if it's true but for instance Aimo Okkolin was a specialist in cut glass (apparently that's how he started working for Riihimäki) and there's a period where NS designed a lot of cut glass, and nowdays her designs are more popular than those of Okkolin's....

I love Nanny Still's work, but I can't really tell why I've got the feeling she was not a "lovely woman", LOL (I've got the same feeling for Charles Chaplin... I think he was not a "lovely woman" either LOL LOL LOL!!!))

It's not easy to be original and nice in the same time!
