I thought today I would post a picture of this attractive vase that is a complete mystery to me! It is part glazed (rim, handles, inside & base), part decorated with enamels and some areas left completely bare without either. It looks continental, but unlike any other I've seen before. I've exhausted my search, and the closest I could find was by the Amphora Factory. However, I think it unlikely, as Amphora marked their pieces and the designs were different.

I have posted 4 items so far on Collectors Weekly and am amazed by the responses received. A 75% success rate of solving my mysteries! So, hopefully, someone can continue this amazing record and will recognise this vase.

At a guess Oriental (Japanese ) made for the middle eastern market

      Dear Ozmarty
It does have a slightly oriental look to it. I have read about 'celadon' glazes and the handles, rim and base look a similar colour. The base is unusual as usually they are either glazed or unglazed. This has been partially glazed leaving a bare circle, perhaps where it would have been marked when the piece was finished. Hopefully, someone may have one similar.
      Best wishes - Lisa
