I got this light fixture from my father-in-law for christmas. It has been in his closet for the past 15 years. It was given to him by a family member before she passed away. She originally got it out of an old railroad depot in Alabama. I don't have any other information other than that. I've learned from some research that its called a slip shade light fixture, I think. The glass shades just slip into place and are all in perfect condition. Any info would be great! Thanks!

Yes, this is a slip shade fixture. It looks very nice too! You can see some like this for sale on ebay from time to time. It was probably made in the 1930s. Yours looks like it may be what is called a batwing style.

Thanks! I researched the batwing style and found one just like mine. Thanks for the info! I fell in love with this light and put it up in my house on christmas day. heehee.
My father-in-law had already rewired it and put in new bulb sockets.
