This little vase came home six months ago from the monthly Collector's Market here in Sydney. It was another purchase from one of my ex-students, so he gave it to me for a reasonable price. He was surprised that I referred to it as a piece of Tango.

I like the shape which is a little different to ones you normally see.
It's mono coloured glass in that wonderful cadmium red and has a rim in black with black hot glass winding too. Cased in clear with a rough unground pontil.
No mark on this one at all.
Height: 21 cm or 8.3"
Widest: 8.5 cm or 3.3"

Is it broken and is that why it is lying on its side? Just wondering.
I placed it on its side so the all areas of the vase can be seen.
From that angle too you can see the clear casing in photo 3.
This positioning technique is one that I learnt from an auction house in Amsterdam: Botterweg.
Most of my postings follow this method.
Hopefully you can see that the vase is intact and has no damage at all.
