wow, these are pretty dark, i may have to try again. Bhock45 was helping me get info on my paul revere liberty bowl 1768 B262. How does one know if it's a fisher, a repro or another maker? Mine has 3 tiny little "crests" I guess at top of bottom of bowl, then towards bottom of bowl it says exemplar paul revere 1768 B262 sterling. I've had it for many years and wanted to know it's worth.

The three crests you are referring to signify it is English sterling silver, the town was made in and the year. I cannot make them out though.

In fact, I think this is your exact one:

I thinks so- but how does one tell. If its a "Watson", or fisher? What year would mine be then? Thank you so much for your help with this

I'll try to get abetted picture , but the tarnish is so bad it is hard to see the crests in person!

Hi. No your piece is not made by fisher. It is better in terms of collectible quality than mine which is a fisher. Yours is made by Watson, which I will get the history of the company for you tomorrow. It is solid sterling silver as signified by the lion hallmark. The crown tells us it was made I the town of Sheffield England. Now since I cannot see the hallmarks very well I do not know the exact date but I can find it tomorrow for you.

We are not supposed to talk value on the site but if you follow my link you should get an idea of what it is worth in money. But if it is a family heirloom I would say it is forever priceless as is my families sterling. Hope I helped.

OK...I am a little new at this game. Sorry, Watson is not an English company. They are American here is the info and a link

"WATSON COMPANY - ATTLEBORO, MASS. "

Click here to see the makers marks which should be the same on your bowl.
