      Very nice collection kindy. I have a box full of the cabinet cards and many of the photos are taken on very fancy wicker chairs or corner chairs. Were these chairs used exclusively in photography studios, or found in homes also? I would like to own one but never see them at sales.

      MattyG ... in regards to your question, I have early photographic catalogues with extensive listings of studio props that include furniture (chairs, etc.), backdrops, tables, posing stands and so forth. In a sense, there was a market of making and selling props to studios, then again, photographers could use their personal furniture as props.
