I inherited this beautiful pitcher from my Grandmother and since I love purple, she marked it for me. It's sentimental of course, but I am curious if what type of glass it is?

I'm not that versed in this type of glass but the style of crimping and the slightly twisted uneven optics of the coin spots seem to point to a more recent vintage. The applied reeded handle is fairly common. Here is an example of a very similar one in blue: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Hand-Blown-Blue-Coin-Dot-Coin-Spot-9-Pitcher-Crimped-Rim-Reeded-Handle-/370712076512?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item56502960e0&nma=true&si=NsmcziAqkoq0VV%252F2tfinZG2HsMc%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557
