This is an amber Stuart Crystal decanter based on the Stratford pattern, circa.1930s. It has been embellished with cutting for plants that you don't normally see on Stratford decanters. It is etched underneath with Stuart England, also the stopper and lip of the decanter have the number 17 scratched on them both. It is 10.5 inches high. I think the stylised plants have been cut into it to make it look a little more art deco.

Do you have a blacklight? sometimes glass from england from this period has outrageous uranium content. If it is a uranium piece... it is a dangerously hot one pieces in this color are. People keep them so I guess they're not deadly or anything but I think they are definitely hot enough to be in the category of don't handle much and keep behind glass and don't use it. Most of my uranium glass if I am doing the math right is about 200-300 cpm. On the high end if I have a decimal off 2000-3000 cpm. these pieces are 22000, 24000 cpm. Which is about 240 Mcsv/hr. (If I have the conversion right)

No I don't have one. If it is hot, it's probably too late as we are swimming in this kind of glass. For example I have 3 other amber Stuart Stratford decanters, a cocktail shaker and quite a few glasses too. If the plain Stuart glass is hot I could probably cook my food by putting it on top of my sideboard, as it contains a few hundred 1930s Stuart glasses. What I have loaded so far is the tip of the iceberg. Lets hope my silver decanter labels provide some shielding.
