i bought this on a whim the other day on ebay. it's pretty interesting. it looks like it's missing some belts which will make each of the machines function, but i can't figure out what it's all about. There is a table saw, a grinder, and some kind of pump action generator or something. it's old - early 20th or late 19th century. anyone have any ideas on what it's all about??

    thanks!

Definitely a line shaft toy, there would have been a functional stationary steam engine to power it.

i looked at quite a few different ones today and i think mine is much earlier - right around the turn of the century - probably the 1890s. by the teens, they had changed style quite a bit - simplifying the stands that they are on. mine is definitely one of the earliest ones - w/ the fanciest stands.
