Does anyone recognize this mark? Help, please. I think it is German because it also comes from my grandma.

    Thanks for looking :)

      http://www.oldandsold.com/pottery/germany1.shtml

this site has a list of marks by country. not sure if you have looked there.

      http://users.skynet.be/rutrene/ludwigsburg-imitations1.htm

this one will show you marks on bot pieces we talked about

Lettin (Germany - Saxony) · Founded in 1858 · Founder(s): Heinrich Baensch · Period: 19th Century · The Lettin factory manufactured table wares as well as art porcelain. They surely took advantage of the well known Ludwigsburg crowned L mark, stating that in their mark the initial L was standing for Lettin...

Dresden (Germany - Saxony) · Founded in 1906 · Founder(s): Adolf Leube · Period: 20th Century · The company of Adolf Leube did not manufacture porcelain itself. White porcelain wares were bought on the market and Leube's company only took care of the decoration. Decorator mark

Nldionne, you are really good!! I finally found it! I never expected it to be very old or valuable. But it is nice to know where it came from. Once again, thank you for your help.

How's the cold? Hope it turned out to be something good!
    8. freiheit freiheit, 11 years ago
Thanks for asking. The cold is better now. I am back on my feet but I was sick the whole weekend. We had a holiday this Monday and I couldn't enjoy it :(

I think you gave me your cold:)

Your mark is upside down, it is an "L" for Lettin as nldionne pointed out, and the star is for the maker Heinrich Baensch .This mark was used during the 1900-30 period.

Nldionne, sorry to hear you got sick, too. I guess you got an Internet "virus".
Thanks also to maryh1956. If I looked at it upside down, no wonder I couldn't find it :)

Lol, I still have the darn thing!
    13. freiheit freiheit, 11 years ago
My whole family got it now, and everyone is blaming me. I did not do it; at least not on purpose. Hope you are feeling better soon :)
