Picked this up today. The filament looks good, though I havent tried it. The outside label says 24C, Edison and 113. The label on the base of the filament says " The manufacture of this bulb is licensed under patents noted on other side". The other side has several dates, the latest one is Octobver 10, 1908. There is also handwritten l 1132 inside the bulb, on the filament base. If nyone knows what that might mean, please let me know. Also, if I want to see if it lights, would it be better to put it in a circuit with a dimmer, and bring up the voltge slowly, or just turn it on. Thanks for looking!

I would suggest just doing a continuity test & leave alone. Low voltage can burn things out too. More often than high V. Sure this isn't a repro. ?

Not sure if it's repro. I'd almost think not, from the style of the handwriting on the filament base, but I'm not an expert by ny means. The base has good patina, and it was in a box with some other vintage bulbs, from a reputable dealer. Is there any way to tell for sure? Thanks for looking blunderbuss2!

This is not my realm so sorry. I have had my experience with electricity & obviously failed to electrocute myself so far. If orig., I wouldn't think a burned-out Edison bulb would be worth much. I know the temptation is there, but fight it off even if it takes drugs!
