My father recently passed away and has this sign hanging in the garage. I was wondering if anyone had any info on it. Bottom has I.R.R. 48 printed on it so I'm guessing that means it was made in 1948? It's double sided and pretty large. I'm guessing about 5-6 feet tall. Any info you can provide would be greatly appreciated as far as rarity, what it's made of, or when it was made. Thanks.

yes 1948 I.R. was the manufacture,made of porcelain coated steel,not really rare,but a great piece to have in YOUR collection...so this is how it starts!!!!!I got 1 sign from my dad and it went downhill from there!lol

@gargoylecollector Awesome info. Thank you! Lmao at how the collection starts. My dad collected old cars and too many antiques. Got a whole garage filled with too many things that I know a little about. Lots of clocks and metal signs. I'll be posting a few more of the items that look really rare. Thanks for the info.
