    This is a beautiful old planter to be hung on the wall. i have a few similar ones, but i really like this one. I'm not even sure what they are called - wall pocket? this one is pretty large and has a great patina on it.

      I've seen them called wall sconce planters.

      Yes, a wall planter, a wall pocket is more for indoor use for fresh flowers/posies
