    The first is of Fort McDowell's East Barracks, and the second is of Valdez, Alaska's harbor. These are from before 1930...

      The one on the left looks lithographic. Often photographic images were transfered to printing plates to easily make copies. It is often seen with early 20th century postcards. Usually the pattern on the image gives it away as does the non gloss appearance of the paper versus photographic paper.
