I will wait to tell the full story of this ring until I get some opinions. Bottom line is that it was basically given to me over the weekend. I have my doubts though. I do not claim to know anything about diamonds, but there are people here who do I am sure. I would be so grateful if the members of CW would offer their opinions to me. Thank you so much for looking!

I'd be very surprised if those are diamonds.

Very hard to tell in pictures. It appears there are a few carbon marks in the stones but that could be dirt I am seeing through the stone. The easiest way to see what you have is go to a reputable pawn shop and see if they will test for you and see what metal you have.

Hi NativeJewelerylovers. Very glad you chimed in. So carbon spots are indicators that the stones are diamonds? I am saying, if what you see are carbon spots and not dirt. Thanks again though!

Carbon marks are generally the first thing I look for. I am just an amatuer jeweler but these look rough cut also. The best test is a diamond tester.
