Bought this for $5.00 but amazing story. G. Washington had this built to defeat the Barbary Pirates, (French I think), Then against England in the war of 1812, She defeated 5 top Eng. warships, even though the Eng. blastered her many times. I enjoyed reading history, The print is G P not Goes! but giant photo, sold for 25-50 cents, used even by school teachers. The colors are great! But the old frame is really nice also! Last photo is battle with Eng. ship Java, Java really damaged Old Ironsides and the Captain was wounded twice, Java was blown up also, Old Ironsides sailed away repaired quickly, returned to finish and Java was in shambles, the crew badly wounded she surrendered. They sunk Java as it was not worth saving. This was one of five great battles with Eng. ships. Thanks for looking! I was in the Army!! Maybe there are some tough Navy Men? I am joking! Don

Awesome print .I grew up near the Fortress of Louisbourg. Many times staring out the very rocky harbour where Captain Cook and Lord Nelson cut there teeth got me hooked on the history of these extrordinary ships and battles.
