Not long ago I responded to a local ad from a lady who was cleaning out her parents home in order to sell it. It just said large box of old dishes for $10 must take all, etc. so of course me being someone who loves digging through boxes full of stuff I went and bought it. It was all taped up and the fact that I had no idea what was in it made it more appealing I think. Once I got it home and opened it up I was surprised to find it full of really nice things in great condition. This is some of the Lenox Southern Vista that was in the box. There was 1 of the larger bowls 8 1/2", 3 teacups, and 6 of each of these different plates/saucers. No idea what I'm going to do with it all now, I'm running out of room in every cabinet...even still, it was a nice find. I'll post some of the other items from the box later this evening. Nice find, I love those types of sales, take all for a few bucks to find out you've acquired a gem. A lot of elderly people are doing this, parting out with their wares, some of which can be nice antique finds.
Thank you all for the loves and comments. I agree I love the mystery boxes, I thought maybe I would find 1 or 2 nice things if I were lucky. Still dont know where in the world I will find room for it. I guess i'll be either buying a new cabinet or passing it along. Thank you for the website BELLIN68, I'll check it out.
