Hey, I have same clock--only not in such perfect condition. My grandfather had it in his meat market around 1900. In his retirement, it kept him company in the garage. I just LOVE the mellow sound it makes.

Thank you Jackie, I glad the clock brought back such fine memories for you of your grandfather.

May I ask you a question or two about the comparision of this clock with mine. I am basing the manufacture on the simularity of the type of beveled top and flat framing on the door, but should I take the clock apart to to see if there is a stamp somewhere? And, the color of the wood is very dark, would it still be oak?
    11. officialfuel officialfuel, 13 years ago
My manufacturers name is on the face of the clock at the bottom. I don't know if it would be anywhere else on the clock. I have never taken one apart that was working find , worring that I may break it. About the wood it could be oak, but I have bought furniture before and it was oak and stained very dark to look like walnut or mahogany. I was taught that years ago people preferred those two types of wood instead of oak. Hope I have helped you in some way.
