    Small bowl with what looks like a bird on the bottom,
    in excellent condition. handed down by my grandfather
    can some one please help identify this?

      Interesting piece. Here are two locations for information on your pieces. David Doty's Carnival Glass and Carnival Glass Heaven. I would try searching there. Look for the outside pattern first. The Phoenix or Eagle may have been an add on.

      I've found that's its called a shrike? An Australian piece? Well it's on eBay for a bit and that's what they have said its called not sure if its true as I've searched shrike and not much comes up for it

      well taking into consideration the kangaroo piece with the same shape, I would start research with the info you got from the EBAY piece.
