British WWII First Aid Post steel helmet, senior officer as denoted by the black stripe. The insignia on the front of these helmets were normally painted, this one seems to have had black paper letters stuck to the front, some of the black is worn off now. The helmet is named on the chin strap, and on a paper lable stuck to the inside.
