    This is a contemporary piece which looks great alongside my older salt glazed stoneware. It is clearly marked Maple City Pottery, 2007, Monmouth, Ill on the shoulder. The blue decoration is applied slipware, in a thick design, making it dimensional (somewhat viewable in the photo).
