    # 13235576 - Antique Primitive Sm Bamboo & Metal Mallet Hammer $12.00 1 $12.00 Hello!!! Well I have not a clue, I paid $12.00 for this tool or weapon, I believe it is a weapon as the angle of top is not square. Auction was from far Northwest USA, but bamboo does not make sense unless sailing ships in 1800's traded this to Northwest Indians. Why put wood around the metal? Any help appreciated! Maybe somewhere at some time this was used by wives if husbands misbehaved!!?? Thanks for looking!!! Don

Very unusual, never seen anything like it.
What is the actual size of it?
The metal may only be a short insert, a strong magnet would tell you if it goes all the way through or not.

There is also a hole in middle of handle so maybe it could tie or hook onto waist or?

It is not heavy, maybe 1 lb. easy to swing, only two types of people would use this! The Quick and the Dead! So best to be Quick!!!

Maybe it is old Eskimo and was used for clubbing little seals?? I do not know what it is but unusual ideas are entering my mind!!
