I love this pink mosaic palette shaped table - aprox 18" by 15" that I found in Miami in the early 80's. Fits perfect in a small bathroom (yes those are my tile floors in 2 & 3 and my lobby in pic. 1) This was someone's DIY project and #3 shows legs that unscrewed - that's how I got it from FL to CA. I'm sure I didn't ship it - must have been in the old 70's Monte Carlo we drove when we moved in 1988. It is a precious item. And yeah - it's easy to break down and move. I like functional furniture.
Thank you bratjdd - functional and pretty right? I also love that someone made this.
BEAUTIFUL!!!! XOXOXOXO
Thank you Lee - it is fun isn't it? I love anything someone made and this is a treasure to me. This came from the thrift store I worked at in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday and Sunday for a year...in addition to my real job M thru F. I could not give up this thrift store job because it was so much fun and weird and always full of characters. I loved it.
I love these retro mosaic tile tables . I have one in garage my husband says it is ugly . What does he know :-) I love yours ! Great post !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Tony, vetraio and antiquescout for loving this pink palette.
Manikin - yes - it could be ugly to some people. This one doesn't have any missing tiles or broken pieces - so it was made well. The colors are really nice too. The legs are ugly - but hey - I was able to unscrew them and justify stuffing this into our full to overflowing Monte mobile and I got it across country safely. Thank you for loving it and toast your table for me!
Oh you are so funny! Yes I have a mosaic table weakness, the first step to healing is to admit it. This one is really fun. I think I'd use it on my porch, which might be as close to the house as the hubby would let it...but what does he know :)))
Thank you Phil for your comments - yes maybe it's from the 50's - legs seemed more 60's to me. They are not right for the pink but oh well. Whoever made this did a great job. Also Amber - don't think I can heal from this....I also have a bunch of those mosaic dishes and plates - I bet you do too! I have a wonderful roll of white barkcloth fabric w/huge 50" gold & black sunburst or atomic burst shape that would go w/the coffee table you posted and your husband would REALLY be annoyed. I should probably take it out of my closet. Barkcloth doesn't always survive humidty. Anyway - Isn't junking fun?!! I'll post those dishes someday too.
Hey bratjdd - I have to read everything twice because I get excited and mess up. My boss still catches me on email goofs - so maybe I should reread everything 3 times. I loved your plate!
Thank you antiquescout and ho2cultcha for your love!
Thank you Lee and Sean for loving this funny favorite table.
This would be perfect in a painters studio
Thanks Aim for enjoying this - isn't it great??? Thanks also to mike, tom, geo and carlomar.
Hi Thomas - isn't this great? Thank you. I love old tile too.
