This cooler was retrieved from my mother-in-laws basement several months ago. I did some research and found that the cooler was from the 1930's possibly 1939. It has a small surface rust spot. But otherwise in pretty original condition, Was wondering if anyone had any idea what it is worth.

Its a Westinghouse Standard Cooler, made in the Mid 30s to 40s. Value is what you can get out of it I've bought some in better shape for $50 but seen them sold for more but need to be in nice shape. Looks like its missing the bottle opener and cap catcher.

this is an 1939 coca cola westinghouse stantrd cooler. SSmothie, you must've gotten a heck of a deal for 50 dollars. Cause I think this is non-electical so this cooler can fetch as much as 200-250 dollars, even missing the cap cacther. Just some elbow grease into that thing and you shouldn't have any trouble getting at least 200 bucks. In mint condition these things are worth $550.

Don't get me wrong other people want a lot more for them I just wait for the deals to come along. I've missed a couple for $100 sometime back but most have damage or missing the cap catcher or bottle opener, the one I'm doing right now I got for $50 had a badly dented lid but I found one for $60 with no dents.

Where can I find parts for this model? I just bought a pretty nice one ($85) but it doesn't have a lid or bottle cap catcher. Thanks!

      Hi guys,
I have this same chest but it has seen better days. It does have the lid but with a small rust hole in it. It does not have the cap catcher or opener. The screws are still there, LOL. The worst news is while researching it I found out that someone had cut the lower half off so now I have just the upper chest part, no storage area underneath. I am moving and need to part with it. Do you think there is any value for this in a garage sale?? I live in Washington state.
      Thanks.

I have the same cooler as pictured above, but the inside is very rusted. No catcher or opener but the lids are there (with some rust). What is a fair price?

I have a 1939 coke ice chest made by the Tennessee Furniture Co. I have been looking for a vintage or original cap catcher. Does anyone have any suggestions where i might find one?

Golfgibson, there are some links in the comments you might be able to use to track one down.

Katherine, the only link I see is funtronics, but they do not have what I'm looking for. Thanks for responding, however.

I'm sorry, this is an old thread and some members from back then have left. However, since you revived the thread, and there are many members here who collect Coke stuff, one of them may reply to your question. Good luck! :)
