I bought this pendulum chiming wall clock from an antique shop around 18 years ago. It chimes between 1-12 times depending on the hour of the day. Inside the glass panel lid, you can see the pendulum and a sticker that says 'SUPERIOR 8 DAY CLOCK' etc etc. You can also store the winding key there.

I know nothing about this clock but I think it could be American. Can someone tell me how old this clock is, who made it and is it valuable? Any further information will be very much appreciated.

    Thanks very much for looking.

There was a "Superior" 8-Day English Clock just auctioned on eBay. Here is the link which should be live for a couple of months: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superior-8-Day-Inlaid-English-Made-Antique-Wall-Clock-/300913464540?nma=true&si=sFvve4MtvPe9An4nD9huKUA4hsY%253D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

It's not unlike yours, so your clock may have been manufactured in England.

      Thanks for sharing it.

The clock falls under the category of "Anglo-American" clock. Some wonderful English clock cases combined with movements from several American clock makers! Pretty clock you have...
