Hello friends! I just got this one, and I am very happy to finally own an example of Loetz Coppelia from about 1904 (I changed the date here thanks to dlfd911). This one has the green applied glass over the clear "wellenoptisch" pattern. I tested it, and no it is not uranium glass. My research shows that although this is not a "high-end" example of Loetz it is fairly rare. This example is in excellent condition, and as you can see in the third photo the applications are intact. I think it's a winner.

    Enjoy!

Almost went for this but I have one with gold decoration.

I need one of those too, Frank. The gold ones seem to go for a little more. Thanks!

The Loetz/Series II book lists the decor as Coppelia Weiss, or white Coppelia. I have one similar. I'll find the Production Number for you if I can.

Thanks Justanovice and dlfd911. If you can find that production number that would be wonderful. Thanks to Mr. T, I will soon have (finally) Ricke Band I, but I still need the Musterschnitte (Band II). So thanks for looking that up David.

How tall is it? I found one in the book that is identical, except the body is pinched 4 times, but it's not uncommon for a shape to appear with and without the indentations. The "trees" are wider at the top, and trail towards the bottom as in yours. A lot of them go the other way. The one in the book is 150 mm (6 inches). 1904 II-1746. If I find a better match, I'll be back.

Yes, my vase is 6" tall. I think the indentations are added after mold-blowing, isn't that right? So that would account for ones with and ones without. So the date is most likely 1904? Thanks again!

Yes, I would definitely say that form is yours then. And yes, they added the lip wrap, drips and indentations after blowing the basic shape in a mold. The mold would have applied the Wellenoptisch texture as well. This PN lists Weiss Coppelia.

"White Coppelia", that makes sense. Thanks again! :)
