I Acquired this book from my mother in law the only date that indicates when it was printed or copyrighted is a handwritten date that states have a merry Christmas and happy new year dated 1881, I've tried looking up the book but this particular one I can't find?

Can you post a photo of the spine and one of an inside page? Any illustrations? To me it looks like one I have seen that came as a series.

Wish it had the first couple of pages, book only starts "have a merry Christmas and happy new year dated Dec 25th 1881", as a Christmas present. Book is by Daniel De Foe illustrations by J.D. Watson, George Routledge and Sons London : Broadway, Ludgate Hill New York : 416 Broome Street, This illustration on the spine Looks like De Foe standing with a walking stick in one hand and a makeshift umbrella in the other. Sorry I have no other pics at this time, but hope this helps some what. Thanks

As mentioned in my previous posting, I thought this was from a series. Dave where did you confirm it's from the 1818 series you mentioned?
